Why?
1. Every 100 sub brings the medal of Media magnat to the owner of newspaper. Votes brings nothing. Let's change this.
2. Numbers of articles dropping. Players are less and less interested to publish articles.
3. Number of readers is smaller and smaller. Number of votes also.
Introduction of symbolic reward will not be bad for the game or for the income of the owners (they don't like to give as so many chances to earn gold here, they prefer us to buy some for the RL money).
Reward system for the votes collecting can improve situation in Press area of the game.

People will vote this, thinking you are offering gold for votes. That is how dumb they are.

No. I am a journalist with a pretty active sub base. This would make me gold yes, but people will be spamming useless articles which will actually damage the journalism part of the game. Thanks for trying to put up a reward for journalists, but no.
@Ancestral, perhaps... Misunderstanding is possible if you don t read an article. @FYNh, there s already sub4sub spam action in the game, and it is pretty much dead already. Vote4vote, for 1 gold, instead of sub4sub for 5 gold? Hardly to believe... Gold for vote is just a first step in my plan, how to help journalism in the game. And not only journalism. We should all give some efforts in order to force owners not to give up of the game. Making new games with the similar gameplay is not a solution.
